Payout Methods

Firm terms

Definition

The ways a prop firm transfers profit to you: payment platforms like Rise or WorkMarket, international bank transfer, Wise, PayPal, or crypto. Each method has its own transfer time and fee, and not every method is available to Israeli residents.

Detailed explanation

With most firms, the path to money involves two stages: the firm approves the payout and transfers it to the payment platform, and from there you transfer it to your bank. Therefore, the fee and arrival time are the sum of both stages. Before the first payout, three things are checked: which method is available in Israel, whether the name on the destination account must match the name with the firm (almost always yes), and what the fee is for small amounts.

An example from the prop world

For Topstep, the relevant transfer for a trader in Israel is an international Wire or SWIFT: 5 to 10 business days and a $30 fee. Prop Payout, Aeropay, and ACH are for banks in the United States, and Wise is only available there in China, Canada, and the UK.

How it works at the firms on this site

Based on the rules listed on our firm pages. Rules get updated, so check the firm's page before buying.

My Funded Futures (MFFU)

Via Rise, after KYC. Payment is made within 24 to 48 hours.

Lucid Trading

To a crypto wallet, or via a WorkMarket account to a bank or PayPal.

Take Profit Trader (TPT)

to Wise (and from there to a bank in Israel) or to PayPal. The name on the account must match the name with TPT, and a wallet fee of $50 applies to payouts of $250 or less.

Apex Trader Funding

Outside the United States, payment is processed through Plane, with a link to a local bank account after approval of the first payout.

FundedNext

USDT, USDC, RiseWorks or bank transfer. Minimum payout of $250 and a processing fee of up to 3.5%.

Funded Futures Family

Via Rise Pay: bank transfer usually within 1 to 3 business days, and crypto usually on the same day.

FTMO Futures

Wise, Revolut bank transfer, Visa Direct and Mastercard Send, in USD.

Rise payment platform

A payment platform through which several prop firms pay traders. You open an account and complete identity verification, the firm transfers the payout to it, and from there you transfer to a bank or crypto wallet.

WorkMarket platform

The payment platform that Lucid Trading links to the trader's account. After identity verification, an account is opened there, and through it, profits are transferred to a bank or PayPal. The second option in Lucid is a payout to a crypto wallet.

Identity verification (KYC)

The process by which the firm verifies your identity before paying you: an ID document, proof of address, and usually a selfie video. In most prop firms, it comes after passing the evaluation or before the first payout, and without it, there is no payout.

W-8BEN form

A US tax form where a non-US resident declares this to a US entity that pays them. In some prop firms, it is filled out before the first payout, and a trader from Israel marks their status as a foreign resident.

safety cushion

The amount of profit that must build up in the funded account before you're allowed to withdraw. The profit inside the cushion stays in the account, and only what's above it is available for payout.

Renewal

An action that happens automatically every month (or every 30 days), meant to extend the evaluation account's subscription and ensure continuous access so you can keep trading.
